The Parasite is a short horror novel written by Arthur Conan Doyle first published in the Harper’s Weekly(1894). It tracks the destructive power of a powerful female Anglo-Caribbean medium over the British male protagonist, and associates spiritualism with manipulation, dominance, and sexual aggression.
