Ernest Hemingway, “Short Stories”

Hemingway’s collection of all 62 short stories published until 1972

Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) was an American novelist and short-story writer, awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He was noted both for the intense masculinity of his writing and for his adventurous and widely publicized life. His succinct and lucid prose style exerted a powerful influence on American and British fiction in the 20th century.

The volume contains – in order of publication – all 53 Hemingway’s short stories published until 1972, from the collections: Three Stories and Ten Poems (1923), In Our Time (1925 and 1930), Men Without Women (1927), Winner Take Nothing (1933), To Have and Have Not (1937), The Fifth Column and the First Forty-Nine Stories (1938), The Nick Adams Stories (1972). It also contains other 9 uncollected stories published in Hemingway’s lifetime.
