John Uri Lloyd (1849–1936) was an American pharmacist, chemist, and visionary author whose work bridged science, mysticism, and imagination. A pioneer in pharmaceutical research and education, he co-founded the Lloyd Brothers Pharmacists and wrote extensively on botany and medicine. Beyond his scientific achievements, Lloyd gained literary fame with Etidorhpa (1895), a philosophical and allegorical novel that explores hidden realms of knowledge and the limits of human perception.
