Thea von Harbou (1888–1954) was a German novelist, screenwriter, and filmmaker whose work spans a wide range of genres, from science fiction to historical drama. Her collaborations with her then-husband, filmmaker Fritz Lang, produced some of the most celebrated films of the silent era, including MetropolisDr. Mabuse the Gambler, and Die Nibelungen. Her contributions to science fiction and cinema remain significant, with Metropolis standing as a testament to her visionary storytelling and creative imagination.
